About Coat of Arms Maker
A creative tool for turning a personal story, family connection, or imagined world into original decorative artwork.
What we make
Coat of Arms Maker creates AI-assisted raster artwork from a written brief and optional reference image. Families can plan a reunion emblem, writers can explore a fictional house, and game creators can develop a coordinated set of faction crests.
The service publishes the guides in our Learn library. We write under the product name, Coat of Arms Maker; that is a publisher attribution, not a claim to be a heraldic authority or an independently accredited historian.
We do not research ancestry, identify historical arms from a surname, register arms, or issue official grants. Our family crest tool creates a new design rather than retrieving an inherited one.
How to read our guides
Our guides combine practical design advice, cited background material, and AI-assisted writing and illustration. They are published by the same service that offers the tools linked in them, rather than by an independent review publication.
- Historical context: sources are linked near relevant claims or in a reading list. An official source supports that claim; it does not endorse this service.
- Design interpretation: a suggested meaning for a color, animal, or shape is a creative possibility, not a universal heraldic code.
- Images and examples: AI artwork is identified as such. Diagrams and invented briefs are teaching examples, not customer testimonials or evidence of a completed generation. A generation can differ each time, even with the same prompt.
- Revisions: a proposed improvement is advice to try. Where an example is illustrative, it is not presented as a measured before-and-after result.
- Updates: article dates identify content revisions. We correct errors and update instructions when the product changes.
What to check in a generated design
Check spelling, composition, contrast, and resemblance to existing marks before using the file. AI can change details during refinement and can misinterpret heraldic instructions. Downloads are PNG images; a vector-like appearance does not make a file an editable SVG.
Six guest previews include a free 512px watermarked download. Original-resolution generations, credits, and single-image unlocks have different conditions. You can compare prices and download options before signing in.
